I lost a friend this time last year. The thoughts in his head stole him from my life and I'm still not okay with it. Here we are a year later and I'm still struggling with so many questions surrounding his death, specifically if there was something more I could have done for him.

Please hear me when I tell you that thinking about suicide is a totally understandable response to pain and when you're so completely consumed with hurt and frustration and lack of clarity, especially with all that our world has been going through these last few months, it can feel like there's simply no other escape.

But here's the thing - you ARE worthy of a happy life. You ARE precious. You DO have value. When your mind takes you down a dark road, it can be impossible to remember this, but I promise you that you DO have an army behind you and they truly want whatever it is that makes you happy.

If you don't feel comfortable reaching out to someone you know, or if you feel like you really don't have anyone in your life that you can trust, you can turn to one of these places and nobody there will judge you or look down on you. Not ever.
