Spend Your 4th Of July Picnic At One Of These Southern Tier Parks

Summer is here (finally) and the 4th of July is about a week away. Hopefully you have a nice three day or more weekend coming up. So, what are your plans?

I will be rockin' on The Whale for a part of it, but when I'm not on the air, I'm going to be at my campground, barbecuing up some meat on the wood pellet grill with a new flavor of pellets that I've never tried before, and then watching some awesome fireworks with my camp friends and a beer or two (at least.)

Oh yea, I'll probably dress up my golf cart for the annual 4th of July golf cart parade. That's always fun with a chance to win prizes for the best decorated golf cart. Unfortunately, our campground has some really serious competitors and I can't hold a candle to the amount of decorating and money they put into their golf cart. This is one time I have no desire to keep up with the campground Jones's.

If you are thinking of having a 4th of July Picnic, there certainly are many places to do so in the Southern Tier of New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania. I have a few places that I really like to go for a day outing. It's just a small sampling of places open for a picnic, but these are some of my favorites. You can see them below.
