If you're planning a trip to the Albany area to see family for a short weekend visit or you plan to stay for a few days, you might want to think about adding a visit to Wintertime Wonderland to your things-to-do list.

Whether you're looking for something festive for the kids to do with grandma and grandpa, or you need a breather from grandma and grandpa, Wintertime Wonderland looks like a lot of fun for kids of all ages.

Located at 195 Troy Schenectady Road in Latham, Wintertime Wonderland is billed as "the Capital Region's largest indoor Christmas event." This 50,000 square foot indoor experience is set at the North Pole and takes anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours to walk through.

Your kids will have a chance to wave through a frost ice maze, take a peek inside Santa's Workshop, visit with an Ice Princess, a Gingerbread Man, and even Santa. Your kids can even leave a note for Santa at Santa's Post Office and if they leave their return address, they may get a reply from Santa.

Wintertime Wonderland is open every day now through Thursday, December 23. Be sure to visit the Wintertime Wonderland website for ticket information as well as hours of operation.
