Binghamton To Become Home to One of the Largest Light Shows in New York

For the past several years, Tall Pines Players Club in Friendsville, Pennsylvania has lured residents from all over the Twin Tiers to its spectacular Forest of Lights drive-through lights display, however, it will be no longer.

Broome County announced last week that it has acquired the Tall Pines Players Club Forest of Lights. This means that Forest of Lights at Tall Pines Players Club will be no more and that all of the displays seen there will be moved to Otsiningo Park in Binghamton.

Officials say that combining the displays from Forest of Lights with Broome County’s existing lights displayed used in Festival of Lights will help to create one of the very largest holiday light shows in all of New York state.

Because Broome County has acquired the Forest of Lights inventory, it will be able to expand its Festival of Lights to loop around the upper section of the park. In past years, the  Festival of Lights was a drive-through-only experience but this year, thanks to the acquisition, visitors will be able to enjoy some out-of-vehicle experiences.

Broome County Festival of Lights organizers say that there will now be an opportunity to visit with Santa, including photos with St. Nick, food and beverage vendors, a special holiday train, and fireworks on three different nights.

Broome County Festival of Lights will run Sunday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. from November 21 to January 1.
