NYSEG says with the potential for high winds and lightning from possible thunderstorm, they have their storm readiness teams and response crews standing by.

The National Weather Service has not issued any advisories for the area for March 20 but does say there is a potential for thunderstorms as a cold front moves through and some of those storms could be severe.

NYSEG says it has more than 600 line and field personnel on-site with 200 more ready to respond should there be power outages.  The utility says it is bracing for the possibility of wind gust of 40 to 60 miles per hour in the NYSEG and Rochester Gas and Electric service areas.
