Authorities are investigating a shooting incident that erupted following a reported dispute in northern Broome County.

According to New York State Police, one person was in custody after the incident. Troopers were dispatched to Grant House Road in the town of Lisle around 12:30 p.m. Monday to investigate a report of "shots fired."

Investigators believe it was an "isolated incident" and no one was reported incident.

The name of the man who was in police custody was not immediately released and authorities did not say where he was apprehended.

State police investigators were interviewing people to determine the circumstances before the gun shots were fired.
