Did you play an instrument in school? And, after school you stopped playing but held on to the instrument just in case you wanted to play again.  Or, have you always wanted to learn how to play an instrument?

Well, there is a great opportunity for you to dust off your instrument and 'tune up.'

There is a group forming called Overture, which is a beginning band for adults.

I think this is a great idea!  There is no pressure or judging with this band.  It is just adults getting together to play in a band.

If you are like me, then you want to play but not sure where to start.  You may be a little rusty, and afraid to join a community band or another band because you feel you are not ready.

This is the opportunity you have been hoping for. A lady by the name of Kim Metaxas started the group.  She even offers individual lessons.  You can shoot her an email if you want more details.  Kimmetaxas@gmail.com  Or, you can call Kim at 607-624-9035.

Overture rehearses on Wednesday nights at 6P.M.  at the Jewish Community Center in Vestal.    You can also check out the Jewish Community Center's website:  Binghamtonjcc.org.
