I absolutely LOVE tennis and don't get to play it as much as I would like! I start playing in middle school after quitting dance, and fell in love with how independent, yet team oriented it was! Now I don't want to toot my own horn, but I did make the Varsity team in 8th grade, & won 'All Greater Rochester' in Tennis as a sophomore! (toot toot!!!!)

Another thing I truly loved about tennis is that it shared a similar quality as golf, in that it was a sport you could continue to play at any age and stay active. Well little did I know I was actually on to something haha!

So majority of us absolutely despise running, but luckily we don't have to pretend to like it anymore... because there is a new sport that is proven BY SCIENCE to be better than jogging, and help your longevity.

DUHHH TENNIS!!!!!!!!!!!! A new study just came out about sports that increase life expectancy. It tracked over 80,000 people for 15 years, and the participants who regularly played racket sports like tennis and squash were 47% less likely to die over the course of the study.... 47%!!!!!!!!

Swimming was the next sport to increase your life expectancy by 28%, followed by aerobics at 27%, and cycling at 15%.

Now the study might be a little misleading because the researchers think the people who claimed they were runners didn't actually go jogging that often. Or if they did, they only ran short distances.

Overall, ANY type of activity is still much better than nothing. People who got at least two-and-a-half hours of moderate exercise a week were 27% less likely to die, regardless of what type of exercise it was.
