Yesterday was the annual Nathan's Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island in New York. Joey Chestnut not only won but set a new record.

He downed 72 hot dogs in 10 minutes, which was enough to break the previous record of 70 that he set last year.

This is his 10th win in 11 years. Before he dominated the hot dog eating contest scene, it was a kid named Takeru Kobayashi, who won the contest for 6 straight years. Joey Chestnut beat him in 2007. And, as they say, "the rest is history."

However, he did lose in 2015 to someone named Matt Stonie.

Joey Chestnut stopped by the Wild 104 studios a couple of years ago to chat about an event he was doing at Tioga Downs. And, as you can see from the picture he doesn't look like he can eat 72 hot dogs in 10 minutes.
