Jackie Nutt Heads to Zona’s For Restaurant Week!

Another day, another chance to head to a different restaurant in Binghamton and see what they have to offer! This is why I love restaurant week because I can try all these new places at a discounted fixed price and not be disappointed if I don't necessarily like it!!

Well Thursday afternoon I headed to Zona's with my friend Bridget again, which is right on the corner of Hawley and Washington Street in Binghamton! Great corner restaurant, bar inside, eclectic and cool seating, beautiful patio area, however it was raining so we couldn't test that out!

Similar to Number 5, they also had a 3 course meal offered (obviously simpler because it was lunch time) at a fixed price and it was items that were not normally on their menu so you could try something different!

Well for the first course, I was really torn between the roasted buffaloed cauliflower and the interesting salad! So I decided to get the salad, Bridget the cauliflower and then we shared!! First off, that was the most damn interesting salad I ever had!!!!! I love water chestnuts, especially when paired with a refreshing fruit like oranges, and the red peppers offered the perfect bite needed! The dressing wasnt too sweet or overloaded, just perfect! And after trying the cauliflower.... I don't think I will EVER eat it without buffalo sauce and ranch again because holy s*** that was incredible!!!!!!

Now on to the second course!! Again, I was torn between 2 awesome options, so I ordered one and so did Bridget and then we shared; I've come to realize this is the best way to experience restaurant week because you try double the food ahaha!!! So for the second course I ordered the Chipotle Black Bean Burger, which was sweet with a little kick, crispy outside and delicious middle! On the other side, Bridget ordered the Wild Berry BBQ Chicken.... The best meal I've had all week!!!!!!! The chicken was delicious, pairing it with the zucchini allowed for a refreshing element and then adding the strawberry on top of all that made it absolutely perfect!!! If you go one place and order one thing during restaurant week, I recommend it be the Wild Berry BBQ Chicken!!

& of course have to end the delicious meal with some delicious Rocky Road ice cream... the first time I've ever had rocky road actually and even that was amazing haha! & she'll be totally pissed at me for posting this!!!
