Millions of people to our south are currently evacuating because of extremely dangerous Category 4 Hurricane Florence.

According to AccuWeather there is a possibility that Hurricane Flo could jump to a Cat 5 Hurricane Wednesday or Thursday this week.

The current path of this storm is Northwest and will remain the Carolina area for a few days.

As for the Southern Tier, AccuWeather predicts the following:

AccuWeather meteorologists expect some indirect rainfall from Florence to reach parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, northern Maryland, northern Virginia and perhaps southern New York state late this week and this weekend, but excessive rainfall and the threat of disastrous flooding is likely to remain to the south during that time.

AccuWeather is saying that Hurricane Flo will produce rain starting on Thursday across the Carolina and Virginia coastlines. Rainfall will begin to fall inland into Friday and intensify throughout the weekend.
