Halloween Paddle Celebration Coming Up

We are less than a month away from Halloween and we know that it will be different than any other year in our lifetime. I'm happy that as of now, we are still allowed to enjoy this holiday.

Broome County will have a Halloween Drive-Thru Trunk-or-Treat Event at Otsiningo Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a similar event at the Afton Fairgrounds from 4 to 6 p.m

Here's another special event happening on October 31st and this is really different and I really LOVE it! It's a Halloween Paddle Celebration at Dorchester Park in Whitney Point from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

You are encouraged to dress in your best witch attire for a spooky paddle session. You are encouraged to bring your SUP's, Kayaks, or Canoes. Keep in mind that the water and air temperature will be cold so dress appropriately for possible submersion.

PFD worn is being recommended since the water is cold and they don’t want to worry about anyone if they fell in. It is 2020, so remember to follow the COVID guidelines but most of all have fun.

This sounds like the perfect event to invite your Mother-in-Law too and she might not even get the inside joke. I won't tell if you don't. HEE HEE HEE HEE!
