Governor Cuomo Includes Legalizing Adult Marijuana Use in the 2020 Budget.

This one sentence from the New York City Comptrolller I read says it all:

This report estimates the legal, adult-use marijuana market at some $3.1 billion per year in New York State

This is why it was no surprise to anyone that Governor Cuomo included the legalization of adult-use marijuana in the 2020 NYS Budget.  All of a sudden, all the stigma attached to marijuana usage could disappear into oblivion...even though any negatives were probably made up in the first place.

Why not legalize a "drug" that has medicinal benefits? Particularly since other drugs are legal which have an ill effect of individuals and society--namely cigarettes and alcohol.  The same culprit responsible for the legalization of alcohol and tobacco is the same culprit that will be responsible for the legalization of adult-use marijuana--MONEY.
