Britain's Manchester Arena, closed since it was hit by a terror attack during a May 22 Ariana Grande concert, will re-open with the help of a native son.

Former Oasis member Noel Gallagher will headline a benefit show, set for September 9, reports the BBC. Gallagher's presence at the concert, titled We Are Manchester, seems fitting, given that he was born in Manchester and Oasis' classic song "Don't Look Back in Anger" became an anthem after the attack.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will take the stage, as will independent bands The Courteeners and Blossoms. Rick Astley and poet Tony Walsh will also appear, while other acts are also expected to sign on. Tickets, which will run between $32 and $39, are expected to go on sale Thursday, August 17.

Interestingly, Noel's brother and former Oasis member Liam, played the One Love Manchester concert after the attacks, although Noel was not there.

The concert will be a fundraiser to create a memorial for the 22 people who died in the attack.

"We welcome the reopening of the arena, a major venue which attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors, as a powerful symbol of this defiant and resilient spirit," one local politician said.
