According to WWLP, the popular chopped salad kit from Fresh Express could be contaminated with E.coli.

Federal health officials are warning consumers that The Fresh Express Sunflower Crisp Chopped Salad Kit has been linked to a recent E. coli outbreak that has made people sick in several states.

So far 8 people in three different states became sick after they ate the Fresh Express Sunflower Crisp Chopped Salad Kit with a UPC code of 0 71279 30906 4 and a sell by date up to and including December 7, 2019.

The Center for Disease Control said that this outbreak has sent three people to the hospital and infected eight people in total, from the states of Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin.

If you find that you do have this product, officials are urging people to throw it away and not to eat it. The CDC also said that after you throw the salad kit away, you should also clean out your refrigerator and give it a good cleaning from top to bottom.
