Broome County Hosts Photography Contest
Have you ever taken a photograph of something so beautiful that you felt like if you were to enter it into a photo contest it would take first place? Well, this is your chance to submit that photo and perhaps win first place!
Broome County is celebrating the beauty that surrounds us with the 19th annual Joyce K.L.Smith Environmental Photography Competition. Each year the competition has a theme and this year the theme is “Earth Day, Every Day” as we celebrate 50 years of Earth Day.
So, grab your camera and get snapping! Each participant is allowed to send in up to three photographs they'd like to be considered in these contest categories: wildlife, plant life, and natural landscape.
The deadline to submit photos is Friday, March 6. Once selected, awards will be given to the top photographs in each category. All winning photographs will be printed, mounted, and put on display for the public to see at the Broome County Council Artisan Gallery during the month of May.
