Hosted by the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce, the Binghamton Bridge Run is a SATF certified 5K. This year marks the 10th year of the Binghamton Bridge Run which traditionally takes place during the month of May.

The May date of the 2020 Binghamton Bridge Run came and went with not a single runner though and it was all due to the coronavirus pandemic, but organizers are excited to announce that the race will still go on this year, just in a different way. The 2020 Binghamton Bridge Run will now be a virtual race and will take place from September 27 to October 18.

When you register for the 5kHalf Marathon, Half Marathon Relay, Double Challenge, or Kids Run, you’ll receive a bib assignment via e-mail and after you’re done racing, you’ll be able to submit your race time at a provided link. Virtual Race winners will be announced after October 18 and there will even be some virtual award categories, including the chance to win free race entries for the 2021 race.

The 2020 Binghamton Bridge Run is honoring the memory of It’s honoring the memory of Maddie Shaw, a 15-year-old Binghamton girl who courageously fought cancer for six years, but lost her battle in November of 2019.

The 2020 Binghamton Bridge Run also benefits Sock Out Cancer which is a nonprofit whose mission is to "assist financially distressed cancer patients and their families pay for non-medical necessities such as food, transportation, and housing so patients can focus their energy on fighting cancer."
