Binghamton Black Bears Offer Free Season Tickets to Youth Hockey Players
Excitement is building in Binghamton as another hockey season draws near and not only will fans be allowed inside the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena to watch the action, but this year marks the inaugural season for the Binghamton Black Bears to play in the Federal Prospects Hockey League.
In an effort to get youth excited about hockey and help grow youth hockey in the Southern Tier, Binghamton Black Bears owner Andreas Johansson has announced that any youngster who plays with the Southern Tier Hockey Association, the Ice House Hawks, or with the Binghamton Blizzard will be eligible to receive an absolutely free season ticket for the Binghamton Black Bears 2021-2022 hockey season.
In a statement sent to Townsquare Media by Binghamton Black Bears, owner Johansson said, "We really want to make an impact on youth hockey in the area and this is a great way to start.'
Johansson also said, "The Southern Tier Hockey Association, Ice House Hawks, and Binghamton Blizzard do amazing things to help grow the game and we hope this is the first of many ways we can help."
The Binghamton Black Bears said that details on how youth hockey players will be able to redeem their free Black Bears 2021-2022 season ticket will be announced soon.
The Binghamton Black Bears kick off their 2021-2022 season at an away game against the Watertown Wolves on Friday, October 29. The first home game for the Black Bears at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena in downtown Binghamton will be on Saturday, November 6, 2021 as the Black Bears face off against the Delaware Thunder.
