Arizona Company Lands Broome School Bus Stop Arm Camera Contract
Once school routines are back to normal, there will be greater protection for students getting on and off school buses in Broome County.
Verra Mobility of Mesa, Arizona has been awarded a contract by Broome County to deploy automated stop arm cameras on area school buses.
The cameras catch photos of vehicle illegally passing stopped school buses so law enforcement can identify offenders.

There have been dozens of close calls reported in Broome County and officials last year, including Executive Jason Garnar launched efforts to get stop arm cameras installed on buses in all districts in the county.
Verra Mobility says it also landed contracts for stop arm camera systems in Oneida and Orange Counties.
