Dating is so tough sometimes, and I completely understand why you would want to give up and adopt a bunch of animals instead. Bustle, and Rachel Wright, MA, LMFT, co-founder of Wright Wellness Center, have some things for you to keep in mind before you check out of the dating scene forever.

  • Each new person could teach you something even if they aren't the person you spend the rest of your life with, you can learn something important from every new individual that you meet.
  • Life is about the journey and not just the destination... especially in love. You probably already have some great bad date stories, and you might have some even better good date stories. Enjoy life for how it is now instead of how it could or should be right now.
  • Finding love takes work which sucks to hear, but "the one" will be worth all the effort you put in to finding (and keeping) them as well as weeding out the other dates and partners that you had before them to get to where you are.

I was about to give up before I started dating my now fiancé, so you should never give up finding your partner in life, too.
