The gorgeous weather on Sunday pushed people outdoors and it also pushed some well-known political figures into town where they hosted a political rally and posed for photos with attendees afterward.

Rudy Giuliani is a name virtually every New Yorker is familiar with. Giuliani is most recently known as being the personal lawyer for former President Donald Trump. Giuliani served as the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 1983 to 1989 before serving as the United States Associate Attorney General from 1981 to 1983. From 1994 to 2001, Giuliani served as the Mayor of New York City.

Although Rudy Giuliani's political career seems to be winding down some, it is really only just beginning to take off for his son, 36-year-old Andrew Giuliani. Andrew is a political advisor who served as a special assistant to the president as well as as an associate director for the Office of Public Liaison during the Trump administration.

In May of 2021, Andrew Giuliani announced plans to run as governor of the state of New York in 2022 and his campaign season has officially begun. On Sunday, April 24, Andrew, and his father, Rudy, found themselves hosting a rally in Endicott during which the younger Giuliana outlined repealing bail reform, tightening voter registration laws, making sure that New York would once again tap into the oil that lies beneath our station.

Giuliani told rally attendees that his plan is to "SAVE" New York in the following ways:
S. Stop crime
A. Anti Mandate
V. Voter identification
E. Educational choice

One rally participant who identified herself as Laurie Ann told us, "the event was refreshing. After what New York has been though the last few years with our governors, it's so nice to know that we have someone running for governor who is clearly more focused on the people and making life more manageable for us than they are playing a political game."
