Being in a long-term relationship with someone, it can be easy to start planning about a future with them. However, Bustle says that there may be some signs that your great partner may not be a great spouse.

  • You have different long-term goals which could include where you ultimately want to settle down and buy a home. If you are set on living in the city, but your partner wants to own land out in the country, you may not be as perfect for each other as you once thought.
  • You feel differently about children and that is something you should not have to compromise on. If your partner wants five kids in five years, but you're more on the side of Double-Income-No-Kids, you may want to sit down and have a chat.
  • You deal with your finances in different ways such as you save, but your partner loves to spend. If that's the case, you may want to consider leaving or finding a way to seriously compromise.

"Forever" can be a scary word if there are still things that you and your partner don't see eye-to-eye on. So while they may be the perfect partner, they may not be the perfect spouse.
