We were blessed with the mild weather last weekend. Both days the temperature reached the low 60's, and on Sunday, we set a new record high at the Greater Binghamton Airport. Looking ahead to this weekend's weather forecast, it's going to be a much different story.

According to the National Weather Service, there's a 90% chance of snow Saturday afternoon with the high temperature of 31 degrees. Saturday night they're predicting more snow, then rain and snow showers with the low of 27.

There's still a possibility of snow on Sunday with a high of 31, and that will be followed by days of cold temperatures. Monday and Tuesday's Highs are only going to be about 20 degrees with the lows near the single digits.

No one is predicting exactly how much snow we will get because the storm it's still so far away, but I heard at least one meteorologist say that it will be shovel able, and the National Weather Service is saying "several inches of snow are possible'. I really don't mind the snow all that much, but I can do without the cold temperatures.

I remember being outside this past weekend,  and even though the wind was blowing,  I said to  my neighbor, “it could stay this way all winter long  and I would be fine with that”.

I guess I will have to gas up the snow blowers and make sure they are ready to go this weekend, even though I will be hoping that I don't have to use them.
