Tonight's Mega Millions jackpot is worth 970 million dollars, and tomorrow's Powerball is up to 430 million dollars. I remember they used to say all you need is a dollar and a dream. Well, nowadays it's $2, a dream, and a hell of a lot of luck.

According to CNBC the odds of winning the Mega Millions are 1 in 302.6 million. The odds of you winning the Powerball are 1 in 292 million. And CNBC estimates your chances of winning both the Mega Millions and the Powerball is around one in 88 quadrillion.

Like I said in my blog earlier this week I play the lottery a lot. I fantasize about winning each time I play and hope that I do eventually pick all the correct numbers. I know it's a long shot but somebody will eventually end up winning all this money, so why not me?

If I won I would take care of my family, friends and charities both here in the Binghamton Area as well as national charities and charities around the world.

I would also throw a huge party for anybody that wanted to come and I would pay to have a huge act like Aerosmith or The Rolling Stones as entertainment.

So if you are going to play Mega Millions, Powerball, or both, I say go for it, but play responsibly.
