Your Hunting or Fishing License Gets You Free Admission at the New York State Fair
The New York State Fair is coming up quickly. It will take place from August 22nd. through September 3rd. at the Fairgrounds in Syracuse. If you have a valid hunting or fishing license, you can get in for free on Thursday, August 23rd. and Sunday, August 26th. according to the Fair's website.
The New York State Department of Conservation will be on sight in the Expo area. The D.E.C. Officers and Forest Rangers will be on hand with exhibits and to answer any questions you may have. They will also have information on how you can become a Forest Ranger or a Conservation Officer.
Once you get into the fair you can take advantage of everything the fair has to offer. Including the food, games, and of course the rides for an additional cost. Not to mention all the animal exhibits as well. There is live music at Chevy Court every day, and Thursday, August 23rd. at 2 p.m. It will be Dave Mason and Steve Cropper followed by the Tedeschi Trucks Band at 8 p.m. Saturday, August 25th. will feature live music from the band Live at 2 p.m. and then Counting Crows will perform at 8 p.m.
