College gives you so many opportunities that you may not otherwise get. I worked for my college radio station, and look what that gave me! Experience in the real world to work in radio as a profession. However Bustle explains that there are things that college will just never prepare you for.

  • How to do anything without technology since so many college campuses and classrooms are technology-savvy that you never have to go without wireless internet. Being able to solve problems without technology is an important skill that college just doesn't teach you.
  • How to dress professionally because you could wear almost anything to class and get away with it. So now that you might be taking your first job in a corporate environment, you may not know how to properly dress for the job.
  • Anything that has to do with insurance and taxes which is a real shame because we all need insurance and everyone has to pay taxes.

Thankfully, my parents and siblings have taught me some things that college forgot to do, but there are still a lot of things that I had to discover for myself or look like a fool trying to do.
