I have a friend who is scheduled to be married two months from now and I promised that I would be present for her special day, but now not only do I not know if my friend will be able to get married on the day she and her fiance have chosen, but I don't know if I'll be able to travel to be with her for her wedding.

The COVID-19 pandemic has tossed our world upside down. Self-distancing, social isolating, quarantines, travel bans and restrictions have become a part of our daily lives. There's just so much going on right now and it's easy to get caught up in the heaviness of it all, but in the midst of all that's happening, there are still positives to be found.

Since so many have more time on their hands than they've ever had before, this is a great opportunity to use a video conferencing platform (I really like Zoom, if you're wondering) to connect with family and friends and, if you've been blessed with the ability to sing, it might be a good time to put your talent to use. Use the video chat time to practice a special song for someone you know who is getting married at some point this year and then when their big day comes, you can surprise them by singing for them.

I LOVE this video from a wedding that happened a few months ago where some of the guests of the bride and groom surprised them DURING the ceremony. I can't get through this video without crying no matter how many times I watch it. Imagine having friends this talented who would take the time to work together to gift you with something that will stay with you for the rest of your life. Simply beautiful.
