Walton High School Student Died of a Pulmonary Embolism
More information is coming out in connection with the sudden death of a Walton High School senior January 9.
18 year old Destyni Twyman collapsed in a hallway at the school and was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Officials say the teen died as a result of a massive pulmonary embolism.
The girl has been described as athletic with sights set on the military and a possible police career.
District officials this week sent a notice to families concerning the death and said counselors were available for students and staff.
There has been no announcement on services for Twyman at this point.
