Cable TV star Jeanine Pirro says she's waiting to hear from the Tioga County district attorney's office on what will happen after she was accused of driving 119 mph on Route 17.

Pirro and Fox News Channel did not respond to requests from WNBF News on Tuesday for information on the status of the speeding ticket she received on November 19.

But the website lohud.com late Wednesday reported Fox News issued a statement indicating Pirro submitted information to the DA's office "immediately after receiving the ticket" in the Town of Nichols.

The statement said: "I am waiting to hear back from the district attorney's office."

Pirro's speeding ticket was returnable to Nichols town court by mail or in person on January 8. The court clerk said there was no indication Pirro had contacted the court regarding the ticket.

The day after she was cited for speeding, Pirro issued a statement saying she didn't realize how fast she had been driving. The former Westchester County district attorney said she was on her way to visit her ailing mother in Elmira when she was pulled over by a state trooper.
