Beth had a tough time dealing with the emotional scenes in Rocketman, the biopic about the life and times of rock star Elton John. Maybe because, like Elton John, she's always too tough on herself and needs to give herself a break.

Everyone has their own demons and challenges, their own weaknesses and fears that need to be conquered. I loved the flick, but other movies touched me on a deeper level, due to my own personal experiences. For me, the sad and unstoppable march of time depicted in the beginning of Up or the father-son game of catch in Field of Dreams get me every time. We wondered what movies are the biggest triggers for you, so we asked for Facebook comments.

Here were some of the top responses:

  • Titanic
  • Love Story
  • Brian's Song
  • A Star is Born
  • Ghost
  • Marley & Me
  • The Shawshank Redemption
  • The Notebook
  • Forrest Gump
  • Star Trek 2 (when Spock dies)
  • Terms of Endearment
  • Steel Magnolias

If you have any sad movies to add, please let us know.
