Endicott police say two men and a woman face charges following a vehicle crash and a disturbance in which a sergeant was injured.

Authorities say a BMW collided with two vehicles as it backed out of a driveway on Odell Avenue on Sunday evening.

Investigators say the suspected driver, 42-year-old Anthony Evans of 321 Odell Avenue, left the scene of the crash. He was taken into custody a short distance away. He faces several charges, including obstructing governmental administration and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.

Police say another man yelled profanities at police officers who were investigating the crash. They say 39-year-old Davon Johnson also tried to take a camera from an officer.

Johnson allegedly fought with officers who tried to handcuff him. Police say he complained of chest pain after a Taser device was utilized. He was taken to Wilson Medical Center to be evaluated.

Police say Johnson caused a shoulder injury to Sergeant Bradley Solomon during the altercation. Johnson was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Officials say a woman, Starkeema Griffin, yelled obscenities as officers were struggling with Johnson. She was charged with disorderly conduct.

Endicott Police Chief Patrick Garey announced the arrests Thursday afternoon.
