A black Hyundai Santa Fe SUV was on its roof for hours in the middle of State Street but Binghamton police were unconcerned.

The vehicle was there as a young movie director shot a scene for his next film called "The Cure Game."

Yaw Agyapong was overseeing a small crew just north of the Binghamton Federal Building as they worked on a scene.

Agyapong is shooting what's described as an "action/thriller based on a family ten years after the coronavirus has hit." The plot involves a search for an abducted daughter in a world filled with chaos and anarchy.

Agyapong and a couple of executive producers spoke briefly during a break. They indicated they were enjoying their brief visit to Binghamton.

The debris-strewn section of State Street was closed between Henry and Lewis streets while several takes were shot around the wrecked vehicle.

The filmmakers had spent the previous day shooting in rural Susquehanna, Pennsylvania.

A trailer for "The Cure Game" is scheduled to be released in October by Agyapong Films.
