We all have one or two or three or more of them. Intersections in the Southern Tier of New York or maybe even in the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania for that matter.

I'm talking about intersections that just make your blood boil for one or more reasons that just adds to mounting road rage. Fortunately, I don't have road rage. And if you believe that, I've got some other things I 'd like to sell you on.

I will raise my hand for traffic circles. I've seen too many instances where drivers do not get the concept of a traffic circle. I've driven many in the United Kingdom and never encountered a problem.

When I was in Elmira earlier this week for a dentist appointment, I drove on a brand new traffic circle in the downtown area. Before entering the traffic circle, a car started to come around (in the traffic circle before I entered) and just stopped. I don't know why. I waited for about 10 seconds and that was about it. I entered the traffic circle and went merrily on my way. As I looked back, that car was still stopped in the traffic circle. Was it panic? Or maybe  the driver had no idea how to get out of it, like the scene with Clark Griswold in the movie 'European Vacation.'

Here are some of the worst intersections that Whale Nation listeners mentioned in their opinion on the 99.1 The Whale Facebook page. Feel free to add your own.
