No injuries are reported in what began as a call about a domestic incident on Clinton Street and ended up drawing over a half dozen police units to the neighborhood early July 15 and negotiations with a potentially armed suspect.

City of Binghamton Police responded to 206 Clinton at Jarvis Street at 2:32 a.m. with a report of a domestic dispute then were informed the man involved may have loaded a shotgun.

Police set up a perimeter around the building and made contact with the subject over the phone.

After a tense 50 minutes, the man came out of the building and surrendered peacefully to the authorities.

The incident drew eight squad cars and two supervisors to the neighborhood.
