It's official. New York state has a new mascot to represent our area. It was a months-long search for the right one and on Monday, Governor Hochul revealed the winner.
Mascots have been part of sporting events and annual causes for decades, and the search is on for an official mascot for the Lake Placid 2023 World University games.
This sprawling twenty-three-acre property overlooks Lake Placid at Brewster Point. It is called the Adirondack Grand Lodge and has the most beautiful woodworking throughout this seven thousand square foot main house. There are multiple stone fireplaces and custom log work. There is also a guest house, a 5 slip boathouse along with an entertainment area above. There are an in-ground pool and multi-vehicle garage. Plus a two-story elevator if you don't feel like using the stairs. This property is one of the most dramatic and largest in the Lake Placid area. Take a look.

This isn't for the faint of heart. It's been in operation since the 1960s and it's only a two and a half-hour drive from the Capital Region.
There's something magical about the woods the winter. A fresh snowfall lends an incredible beauty to nature. Imagine seeing all that beauty from the back of a horse, while on a winter trail ride.
