A Binghamton sex offender will spend over three decades in federal prison for downloading and collecting sexually explicit images of children from the internet.

49 year old Roland Kyzer Junior was sentenced to 32 years in prison following his conviction in February of receiving and possessing child pornography the entire time he had been on probation.

Federal prosecutors say the registered sex offender was serving a term of supervised release for an earlier federal child pornography conviction when U.S. Probation Officers found he was continuing to download porn.

Judge Thomas McAvoy sentenced Kyzer to 27 years in prison on the new offenses with a consecutive sentence of five years for violating the conditions of probation.

When he is released again, the Binghamton man will be under supervision for 20 years and will continue to be required to register as a sex offender.
