Road Trip for Restaurants Featured on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives
Whenever I walk in the door and I find my wife Chris is watching TV, there's a 90% chance that the Food Network is going to be on. And most of the time she's watching it, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri is on.
She will sit there and binge watch the show whenever it's on. Sometimes I will sit down and watch it with her. There are times that I'm amazed at some of the new creations the restaurant owners have come up with.
Chris is a great cook. That's the reason I put on all this weight since we've been together. A lot of times she will just invent something new by throwing different ingredients together. I know if she had a diner, Fieri would be there saying “Shut the front door”.
Every time we travel out of town, we will us Google to see if any restaurants in the area were featured on “Triple D”. I've seen shows where he was in Syracuse, and I could have sworn he went to the Dinosaur BBQ, but I'm not seeing that on the Diners Drive-Ins and Dives website.
However, I am seeing six other locations in Syracuse that might be worth a trip. With Syracuse only being about an hour away from Binghamton, you can check out these restaurants, eat there, and be back home within three and a half hours.
Syracuse restaurants that were featured on the show include; Kitty Hoynes, Byblos
Mediterranean Cafe, Pastabilities, Funk 'N Waffles (I love that name), Empire Brewing Company, and Eva's European Sweets.
Friends of ours on Facebook, recently took a vacation traveling from state to state visiting eateries that were featured on the show.
Can you think of any places in Binghamton that should be featured on Triple D?
I think I'm going to have to make a resolution to hit each one of these in 2020. I'm sure as soon as Chris cease this post, she will be out in the car honking the horn ready to go.
