Police: Man Caused $1500 Damage at Forks School
A Chenango Bridge man has been accused of damaging a bathroom door at a high school because it was locked.
Authorities say 40-year-old Frank Beadle III has been charged with second-degree criminal mischief, a felony.
According to New York State Police, Beadle is believed to have caused more than $1,500 in damage to an exterior metal bathroom door at Chenango Forks High School on August 27.
Police say their investigation determined Beadle had damaged the door "because it was locked." A news release did not elaborate on the circumstances surrounding the incident or how investigators concluded Beadle was a suspect.
Beadle was arraigned in Chenango town court and released without bail being required. Police said his next court date is pending.
