Pete Davidson Defends Ariana Grande Against Trolls After Gifting Fiancée Late Father’s Badge
Pete Davidson won't have trolls disrespecting his fiancée Ariana Grande.
The 24-year-old comedian had to put a fan in their place after they insulted the love of his life following a recent photograph Davidson shared of Grande to his Instagram.
In the snapshot, below, the "Light Is Coming" star can be seen wearing a necklace embossed with the digits "8418" — the badge number of Pete's late father, Steve Davidson, a New York City firefighter who lost his life during the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001.
By allowing the musician — who is, after all, Pete's wife-to-be — to carry his precious memorabilia should have been an indication of how much he truly loves Grande. While others cheered for the comedian's gesture, one fan, in particular, took issue with it, slamming his other half in the process.
“No girl should ever wear your dad’s chain. “So disrespectful,” the fan commented, to which Davidson rejoined to Grande's defense: "For ur information that’s not just some girl. That’s my fiance. she’s the greatest person I know. I gave it to her because she has my heart and that is the most precious thing I own. my dad would be so happy and love her so much.”
Well, you heard the man!
Those with any doubt of Grande and Pete's commitment to each other clearly haven't been following their tattoo timeline — which includes getting inked each other's initials inked on their bodies and the "God Is a Woman" artist scrawling a tat in honor of Pete's father on her foot.
It was most recently reported that the pop star, who's already gone ink crazy for her beaux as it is, received yet another mark with the name "Pete" written on her ring finger.
Case in point, these two are VERY much in love.
