The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is still cleaning up from the early August flooding even as another round of flash flood ravaged part of the state over the weekend.

In Susquehanna County, PennDOT says motorists for several days will encounter flood repair work in Bridgewater, Liberty and Franklin Townships.  There are currently 20 roads closed due to flood damage in Pennsylvania.

PennDOT says lane restrictions are expected daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on State Route 76 and 2011 in Bridgewater Township and on State Route 1020, 1022 and 4002 in Liberty Township and on State Route 4008 in Franklin Township.

Transportation officials in Pennsylvania say there has been some progress with the reopening of flood damaged roads in New Albany Township in Bradford County as well as roads in Columbia and Montour Counties with contracts for debris removal awarded for several bridges in Bradford and other affected counties.

PennDOT says even on roads that are open, there are areas still in need of repair and caution it may be necessary for transportation personnel and contractors to go onto private property to carry out emergency repairs and re-open closed roads.  Property owners will be contacted to ask for authorization.
