Online Shopping Versus Mall Shopping

Is online shopping becoming the lazy way to make a purchase? With just the click of a button and your credit card information you can have your next big purchase shipped to your house within only a few business days from the comfort of your own living room.

With online shopping becoming popular, malls are seeing a decline in customers and purchases. Does this mean there is a potential risk that malls won’t be around for very long? We found that malls can offer much more than just clothing and products.

1. Bringing families together - Hours of walking the mall with your best friend, sister or mother the atmosphere can encourage a lot of conversation.
2. The perfect after-school hang out -Those awkward middle school years can be rough and with no driver’s license, it’s not easy to get around from place to place. At the mall, it allows preteens and teens to bounce around from store to store without getting bored too quickly.
3. Employment opportunities - From retail to restaurants and cleaning jobs, the mall provides plenty of employment opportunities.
4.  No matter the weather outside the mall is ideal for any season - However be sure to get your bikini in January and your winter coat in July.
5. Dining options - The Southern Tier may not have the biggest mall in the world or the most options when it comes to dining. But we do have our favorites!
