Village police were called to an eight-unit apartment house at 15 Endicott Avenue around 5:40 p.m. Thursday.

Investigators say a man reportedly had been shot with a gun during a dispute.

When officers arrived, they discovered the 21-year-old man had been struck by a BB gun pellet. He was taken to Wilson Medical Center for treatment.

Police say 24-year-old Brandon Oranchak-Wolfran of Binghamton discharged a BB gun rifle during the argument, causing a pellet to become lodged in the other man's head.

Oranchak-Wolfran was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Detectives say 24-year-old Hobb Morrison of Johnson City is accused of hiding the gun in an apartment. He was charged with tampering with physical evidence.

The incident occurred one week after a late-afternoon drive-by shooting in the village. Several shots were fired around 5 p.m. on October 5 near Grand Avenue and Baldwin Street. No arrests have been made in that case.
