Johnson City police say a village man was shot after several people forcefully entered his residence.

Investigators said the 27-year-old man was treated at Wilson Medical Center for a single gunshot wound to his midsection. His name was not released.

Detectives determined several people were involved in the Endicott Avenue home invasion incident around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The resident was assaulted by the intruders who then stole items from another person before fleeing.

One suspect - 23-year-old Destiany Kleine-Hill - was taken into custody Friday at her home on Prescott Road in the town of Chenango

Two more suspects were detained by a Broome County sheriff's deputy who responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Daniel Drive in the town of Chenango early Saturday.

The deputy was aware the occupants of the car were wanted in connection with the Johnson City shooting. The men - 21-year-old David Vanpatten and20-year-old Justice Marimberga - were taken into custody by village police.

All three suspects have been charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary. They were arraigned and sent to Broome County Jail.

Johnson City police said more arrests are expected.
