Shoutout to these New York police officers who went above and beyond for a woman in need.

According to a viral Tweet from a bystander and Fox News, security at a New York City Whole Foods held a woman on the Fourth of July because she allegedly had some groceries in her bags she hadn't paid for. When officers showed up, they saw the woman, obviously distressed by the situation, and paid for her groceries.

NYPD Chief Terence Monahan tweeted his support and praise for the officers.

"Cops like Lt. Sojo and Officers Cuevas and Rivera of the Strategic Response Group are the kind-hearted cops who quietly do good deeds for New Yorkers in need. My thanks to @pboz for highlighting the often unnoticed."
