New York and Pennsylvania’s Favorite Holiday Movie Is… [POLL]
The holidays don't feel like the holidays for most people unless they see their favorite holiday movies. I have a handful of movies that I watch every year during the Christmas season.
My personal favorites include 'Christmas Vacation', 'A Christmas Story', 'Charlie Brown Christmas', and my personal favorite, 'It's a Wonderful Life'.
As corny as 'It's a Wonderful Life' may seem to some people, I like it because it reminds me that we are all here to help each other, and if everyone just looked out for each other we all would have a wonderful life. I love the movie so much that next Friday my wife Chris and I are heading up to Seneca Falls to check out the It's a Wonderful Life Festival.
House Method surveyed more than 4,500 Americans to ask them what their favorite Christmas movie is. They also asked is 'Die Hard' is in fact a Christmas movie. They came up with the favorite Christmas movie by state and the majority of states ranked 'A Christmas Story' as their favorite.
'A Christmas Story' is the story about a boy named Ralph who wants a B.B. gun for Christmas. Every Christmas Eve into Christmas Day, the cable channel TBS runs a 24-hour marathon of Nothing But 'A Christmas Story'.
'Elf' staring Will Ferrell finished second, followed by 'Home Alone' and It's a 'Wonderful Life'.
According to the results, 'A Christmas Story' is the favorite holiday movie for New Yorkers, and 'Elf' was the holiday movie of choice for Pennsylvanians.
As for the question is 'Die Hard' a Christmas movie? Just under 60% of people said no while 40.79 % said yes. Here are the results by state from the entire survey.
