What genre of music do you consider your work to be? Who are your major influences?
I consider my music to be Hip Hop with very deep lyrical content yet i am very versatile and experiment with many different styles to reach the world with, that way I keep my music interesting to the people. My main 5 influences are as follows in no specific order 1. Pharoahe Monch 2. Biggie smalls 3. Nas 4. Immortal Technique 5. Royce Da 59
*How long have you all known each other? How did you meet? Or how long have you been making music? I started writing creatively around 7 years old and never stopped it became my life very quickly and i recorded my first song at 13 years old so i would have to say i have been making music on a serious level roughly ten years
When did you form your band? What inspired you to make music together?
I became a part of the Barcid Family around late 2009 it was that pure chemistry within our art where we connected on a level thats rare to find
Where have you performed? What are your favorite and least favorite venues? Do you have any upcoming shows?
I performed at many parties while i was growing up just freestyling and as i got more in depth with my career many local establishments from here in Binghamton as well as many places in Michigan my least favorite performance hmmm i don’t think i have one always rocked the crowd my favorite would have to be would in NYC at the Queens Arena at a showcase opening up for Fred Da Godson great exposure for me
Could you briefly describe your music-making process?
I write and record my own music, Systamatik Studio’s has recorded a lot of projects for me as well There’s many ways i work on music either on the spot write it and record it or i take my time writing then practice to perfect my delivery then focus on the mix of the song in strong detail
What has been your biggest challenge as a band? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?
Being an artist every aspect of the process is a struggle first and foremost being humble with your team and outside alliances will really help build just make sure everyone you work with is on the same page that way you always keep moving forward especially in the fast paced market of music today you really need to understand patience and not let anyone bring you down its all about the message of the music so you must stay focused
What's your ultimate direction for your band? Are you seeking fame and fortune?
All I need to accomplish in life with my music is to make music that helps people in every emotion i can portray from the hardships I have experienced from my own life its all about telling your story to me but huge fame and success it would be life changing and a blessing but regardless just growing old on tour is a dream in itself as long as i am heard I will be happy.
