There's nothing more my husband I wish we could give our son than a dog. Okay, maybe a sister, but at this point, a dog is a bit more obtainable.

My little boy is just so in love with dogs, but unfortunately for us, we're not allowed pets where we live. While becoming pet owners is probably a few years away for us, we've already picked out our pup's name(s)- Thomas Jefferson and/or Teddy Roosevelt. Yep. I know what you're thinking- strange, but we got the idea because of my parent's dog, Frankie. I don't know why, but I got in the habit of calling Frankie, "Franklin Delano," and my husband was like, "If we get a dog, let's name him after a president." And so we will. One day.

Gone are the days when people name their dog "Sparkles," "Patches," "Rover." People have actually become pretty conservative when it comes to naming their dog. Want proof? Rover just released their annual list of the most popular puppy names in 2017 and the names are actually pretty predictable.
