Jersey Mike’s Subs Prepares to Open First Shop in Binghamton Area
A fast-growing restaurant chain is expanding its presence in upstate New York with plans to start operations at a Southern Tier site.
Jersey Mike's Subs is finishing renovations in a space at 1257 Upper Front Street in the town of Chenango. The site most recently was occupied by Hoopla Frozen Yogurt.
David Shanks, a representative of Jersey Mike's Subs, said the shop a few miles north of Binghamton is scheduled to open on July 28. He said it will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
The nearest Jersey Mike's shop is in Oneonta. Shanks expects several more shops will open in the Binghamton area in the next few years.
The shops feature submarine sandwiches and cheese steaks made to order.
