The Johnson City School District has been working with health officials because of several coronavirus cases that have been confirmed in the district.

According to a school district statement, any person who has been in direct contact with those infected for longer than ten minutes or within six feet of an infected individual should be quarantined for up to 14 days.

Health officials have engaged in contact tracing with some school district employees and have provided them with advice.

The statement said the school district is continuing to monitor the situation. It said the district "will notifystaff immediately of any interruptions to the school schedule."
