Ready to Serve: Pasquale’s Soup & Sandwich in Binghamton to Open
An iconic spot on Binghamton's East Side is coming back to life, more than four months after a beloved business shocked loyal customers when it suddenly closed its doors.
Pasquale's Soup & Sandwich Shop at 180 Broad Avenue will officially open on Tuesday.
Jesus Clarke, who already operates a barbecue restaurant on Chenango Street, spotted an opportunity after hearing from many customers who were disappointed when Pasquale's Deli closed last October.
In December, Clarke announced plans to reopen Pasquale's with some of its most popular offerings. He said he and his team wanted to continue the legacy that had been started by the Pasquale family.
Clarke was busy over the past several weeks with his existing Big Zues Barbecue restaurant and working to get things rolling at the sandwich and soup shop.
The new shop is scheduled to operate this week on Tuesday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Clarke is asking customers to be patient during the opening days as he and his new staff "work out any kinks" in the operation.
Online ordering for pickup and delivery should become available within a few weeks.
